Howdy Friends I have been quiet on this one since it has been plagued with problems over the years. We have been lied to and mislead several times and just got tired of trusting folks.
_Brief history.... _ We tried to work with a US brass manufacturer to create this beast. I spent a few thousand on brass castings and waited over a year to get a sample that looked like it was built by a.... well, I won't go there. Just know it was NOT anything close to what I expected and would never ever have a B.T.S. label attached. I immediately canceled that arrangement. After getting my castings back, I checked with my builder in NZ to see if he would do the project. That was right before he had a major medical issue, and stopped building models for several years. No go there. Our builder in Brazil, who had done a couple of successful projects for us, was contacted. Yes, he could do the model.... as soon as he finished another project he already had going. So we shipped him the castings and waited. Then he had a challenge with his wife's health, had to move, got robbed, got flooded, lost an etcher, and probably some other things that I have forgotten over the last several years. Poor guy has had more challenges than the Pharaoh who argued with Moses. As my great-aunt used to say.... 'if it ain't one thing, it's another!' _Status as of yesterday.... _ Got an email from Brazil.... After making the final corrections, the production etching are due to arrive at the builder's soon. He has all the castings - covered with dust after all the years they have been waiting - and promises that we will have models as soon as he can get them out the door. Delivery date - unknown, but soon, I hope!! Price - waiting to hear the final costs.
