John The rail first bridge over the river Tay by Dundee, collapsed on 28 Dec 1879, causing the death of 75 people. I assume you crossed over the second bridge which opened on 13 Jul 1887?
The rail bridge over the river Forth was opened on the 4 Mar 1890. At both points, the rivers are called 'firths', which is a Scottish term A search of Google will give more info. The S gauge content - I've yet to see a model of any of these bridges in S, (scale, hi-rail or AF!)
