If you got ridf of all that solid rail and you used that rolled thin metal Flyer rail you would reduce the weight. Also over tha last 40 some years I have noticed how much weight the modelers have put on.

One thing we're beginning to find out is that modules seem to get heavier each year and I don't think it's from bed bugs or sweat (from the mattress commercials). It would be nice to have some younger blood to help with these things. It also takes 6-8 vehicles to transport all the items. We're thinking of obtaining a trailer to start hauling the bulk of the modules, due to the high cost of SUV type vehicles and the eventual downsizing of them The all scale modelers club that I'm president of is the largest in the Houston area also has the same problem.
