Hi all --

I just got my latest volume of Railway Prototype Cyclopedia. In it there is a
great shot of the interior of a 52’ gondola set up for containers, The bottom
has what looks to be 8x12 inch timbers set on edge and fastened with all kinds
of steel hardware – plates, angles and tees. There are 6 spaces for
containers at each end, and the leftover space in the center has two
longitudinal timbers sandwiched between the end sets to keep them from moving.
This happened to be a Western Maryland car in the photo, but I will use that
setup for a SLE&P container gon.

Have fun!
