I haven't yet taken the plunge, as I still am actively modeling in HO, but fully intend to build an operating module in S to get my feet wet. I have spent many happy hours checking out suppliers and their products, and am really happy to see an expanding market for scale products. As is often mentioned in these posts; there is a real need for detail parts (and decals) in this scale, but some really great work is being created by all of you dedicated to promoting S scale. So I look forward to learning from you, and hope you'll be patient with questions you've probably all seen before. As I've already built a couple of Funaro and Camerlengo Dunmore hoppers in HO, I can't wait to try the 'S' scale version! It's a great model of a very unique car. What would you suggest for a good scale locomotive in 'S', especially switchers. Photos of the SHS SW1 look very good; the handrails look very scale and the cab is well done. Has anyone built a Railmaster Alco switcher? Again the photos look good, but is their drive good as well? Oops, I've already exceeded my quota of questions; but I'll be back!
