The resons are Taxes and labor costs to start with. Next is the costs of 
getting injection dies made and finding someone to shoot them at a reasonable 
cost. I my case the cost per part was acceptable only when I would buy at least 
1,000 parts from each die.
 
This brings me to the the next point if I have produce product that sells 500 
or so what do I do with the other 500 items? This action just doubled my cost. 
All set up fees are on the first run.
 
I do make my products in the USA.
