Well, several years ago, I did "a year without trains," or rather, a year
without preordering or buying new stuff. The exception was any preorders that
came in during that time and incidentals like paint, parts, etc...
It was difficult to change my wicked ways for a year but I prevailed.
Fortunately, that commitment ended at 23:59:59 on December 31st!
