Prior to WW II we always went to Rome NY (my fathers home town). The trips
also include Vermont with a long stop in Fonda. There were 2 ancient houses
adjoining the NYC main. These were the ultimate in antiques plus EVERYTHING
else.
We stopped there for my mother and sister. Meanwhile off I went to the NYC
station with my camera.
One time the station agent said lets get out there as a new loco is coming for
it's first running test
IT WAS THE FIRST NIAGARA. I took a photo but forgot to set the light.
A dark negative floats around this house somewhere.

Oh Well

I traded off a GG-1 a long time ago in exchange for a NYC doodlebug with
trailing coach. Good move from my point of view. Never owned anything else with
PRR on it.

Well, personally, I sorta favored the Niagara. But let's not quibble over
details.
