  A cement factory is a huge undertaking to model but a cement distributor is 
fairly small and could be combined with a redi-mix plant next door so you could 
add sand and gravel in open hoppers. 
  I first saw the 70 ton hoppers around 1957 when they were almost new and were 
some of the first freight cars to sport roller bearing trucks on the 
branchline.For a while the cement plant  shipped both cement bagged in boxcars 
and bulk in the hoppers but soon the boxcars were eliminated....daveBranum
