I bought my first AF train set at age 12 in 1953 with money I earned detasseling corn. That set passed on to my little brother and eventual oblivion (he later became a trucker - wouldn't cha'know it!)
In 1964, I bought a N'eastern stock car kit, trucks included, from the old All-Nation Hobby Shop in Chicago. That, too, passed into oblivion, buried in cardboard boxes beneath a glut of HO, until . . . . . . the Spring of 1972, when I was 31 years old, one of those old N'eastern trucks mysteriously appeared on my workbench. The rest is history. Bob Nicholson ____________________________________________________ --- In [email protected], Carey Probst <s-scale@...> wrote: > > Looks like I got you all beat on age.
