After my recent experiments with two speakers, with two decoders, etc. I have 
come to this same arrangement: a Tsunami decoder and a RailMaster DLG8 in the 
locomotive. To my ears, the DLG8 has more bass than the DHB8.

I do put a second decoder in the tender, but its only function is to run the 
backup light. I just grab any decoder from my junk pile (I was an early 
adopter).

My second choice would have been a larger speaker (From Tony's) in the tender. 
The bass is WAY better, but I thought if Bill came over he would be distracted 
by the sound coming from the tender.
