Mark,

Let's get your specific questions answered.

What brand of track?

S Helper Service Flex track for the mainlines and Tomalco code 100 flex
track for all of the rest.

Did you build those cars from kits?

Most of the cars were brass where assembly is allegedly not required! (:->)

What type of couplers are you using?

A mixture of S Helper Service and Kadee.

If you are up for some reading, much info on my new layout can be found here
and on the new second page: http://www.lanestrains.com/My_Layout.htm

The "cut to the chase" version is, it is currently a simple loop
approximately 11 feet x 34 feet with high 50s and 60+" radiuses throughout.
There are 2) code 139 mainlines with flex track made to genuine PRR
specifications and a code 100 freight bypass line. The straight sections are
24 feet long making for nice long views of trains coming and going.

Tomorrow I start on an addition to my garage making most of my current
garage my permanent workshop. This gets storage shelving and my workbench
out of the basement allowing for future layout expansion possibilities
beyond the current loop. We will see what 2012 brings but it hopefully will
be interesting with a nice sized freight yard and turntable if I want to
make a "jump across" the aisle way section.

Thank You,
Bill Lane
