Just a thought or two..... Of course the wheel backs on the SD could be shorting out on the guard rail, or they could be shorting out across the length of the truck. Do you have enough gaps cut and in the right places?
Larry at Tomalco gave me a gap 'guide' for doing his crossings which would be good for any solid crossing. Very simple - no wires to be added.
