Chad is a fellow Monon modeler who has made some nice resin cars in HO scale: I
have seen them. He also gets positive recognition at the RPM meets. I would
be happy to see him do some projects in S if we can generate enough interest.

Subject: {S-Scale List} Flat Car "Semi-Kit"... Anyone?

A modeler by the name of Chad Boas on the STMFC group has recently produced and
sold the main parts (body/frame and deck) for a few versions of early flat car
in HO scale. Three versions were done... if memory seves me right, those
versions were a MONON version, a M&StL version and a SAL version. I purchased
three of the SAL version and like them so much that I plan to buy a few more.

Naturally, I want some of these in S scale as well, and Chad says he is willing
to produce these in S for us if he can sell about 30 cars. He projects the
price to be around $25 to $30 per set. THAT IS VERY LOW PRODUCTSION AND VERY
LOW PRICE!!! Yes, these are not complete kits, but the main parts are there and
since it is a flat car... it leaves small parts such as; trucks, couplers,
stake pockets, grabs, brake details (if desired), weight, grabs, paint and
decals. Most of these parts are available in S separately... decals excluded.

Here are photos of the HO model :

I'll be buying three of them, myself, so that leaves only 27 to be spoken for.

Anyony wanna get on board?

Let Chad know : mailto:chadboas%40yahoo.com

Mention the SAL F-6 flat car model when you contact him.
