Matt,

Thanks for posting the page.  OK, so I stand corrected.  There are not two 
options but eight!  And you S scale Prototype Modelers may want to check this 
out too.

Not only are there two shank options, which I had previously mentioned, there 
are four knuckle options!  Regular solid, regular slotted, extended solid, and 
extended slotted.

Now tell me this: which of the Kadee look-alike couplers gives you an extended 
knuckle that is prototypically correct for tank cars, and several other types 
of car?  Here they are!  You won't even be getting these from Sargent if and 
when he ever comes out with his coupler.  But these WILL mate with Sargents.  
They will also mate with Kadee #5's.  I don't have 808's so I can't check, but 
I'm sure they can be made to fit.  The SPS non-operating knuckle doesn't quite 
match out of the package, but a little judicious filing should make it a go.

So there you have it, only it's a little bit more, and something you MODERN 
modelers might investigate, not just us 1885 era guys.
