Hi Ed, That's a very good point to bring up. There doesn't seem to be any S
modelers building cars or other projects with appeal to the broad modeling
press. We need something like the essential freight car series that ran in RMC
magazine for years but done with S cars by a competent modeler, or an S layout
built by a guy like Lance Mindheim to catch the attention of modelers now
working in other scales.
A nice S layout article with a design that could be built using currently
available rolling stock would be a good selling point if the manufacturers
would get together and facilitate it.
There's no reason that a lot of the mainstream articles now being done in
the other scales couldn't be done in S instead, they are done in the other
scales now simply because the authors are modeling in those scales. Give them
an incentive to do it in S and they would do it in S instead....DaveBranum
