Well, maybe they didn't get to Mexico, but even that is possible over the span of years the cars cover. The car is not only distinct but also aesthetically pleasing. I'll have to speak with Bud. Perhaps we should have another go at the project. Personally, I would take two. Bud and I had planned to do the earlier version on which the horizontal ribs extended to the ends of the car. The car appeared earlier in brass in the later version on which the ribs extended only to where the ladders or grab irons would be placed. Some have advanced the argument that, K"Oh, well, it's been done in brass, so there would be no further interest." Those who articulate that idea will have to explain it to me. I don't get it: After all, a brass version today would probably cost at least double of the asking price for a resin version. In whatever medium it appears, the car is a standout, something different from the AAR designs. I believe that we collected about 35 or40 orders from 27 interested parties. Regretably, that did not meet the required 100 orders. If we could still garner 100 orders, we would be delighted to go at it again. This was for a plastic resin kit from Smokey Mountain Modelworks. Perhpas we can find a way to do the project in an alternative medium. That is something to consider. Tom
