Hello people,

Can anyone familiar with the PRS 40-foot AAR boxcar kit give me some guidance
here ?

I want to run some of these cars as they would have looked following a rebuild
or refubishment carried out at the end of 1966 or later - that is, with
roofwalks removed, shortened ladders etc.

So, my question relates to the roofwalk support brackets located on each rib
along the centre ridge of the roof.
These are very neatly represented on the PRS kit as part of the roof molding.
So, when the roofwalks on the proyotype cars were removed, were these brackets
removed at the same time or were they just left in place, for possible later
removal ?

That is, should these brackets be trimmed off the PRS roof molding - or does it
not matter ?

Any advice ?

Thanks.
