Pieter,
I know he isn't interested. I was just letting him know that we have a need for
someone like him to produce something new for us. I will keep on our side from
now on and not post over there.
                                           Thanks,
                                                        Alan

Hi Allan;

There is no reason you cannot forward his post to the S Trains list with your
own comments (like "we will have to modify these a bit to accommodate Hi-rail
wheels and couplers. This shouldn't be hard, but please don't ask Jim to make
the kit that way as he isn't interested").

I do that sort of thing with the clubs I belong to as some club members are not
on the list. Jim isn't interested in most of the S Trains list, he really isn't
interested most of our posts here so I can understand his not wanting to
subscribe to more lists. If we want the models, we can certainly help get the
word out.

works.  Jim does not limit his runs as you appear to believe... he
determines the size of it based on the number of people who step up to the
plate
and PLACE ORDERS.  If he does not get an order from someone, a model will
not be produced for them.  If the AF folks want one of his models, all they
have to do is place a reserve order when he is taking the
reservations.
