First up.
Ed, I'm not a SIG kind of guy, but the S Scale SIG looks great. It looks like
a great effort to get S out in fron of the masses. I wish you every success.
Next, regarding SMMW's products. There's nothing stopping a Flyer/Hirail guy
from buying one of Jim's kits and converting it if they want to.
I'm pretty sure it can be done,(I converted a couple of PRS kits to Hirail
loooong before SSA picked up the line) it just requires one being a little
clever about it. A HiRail guy MIGHT be interested in doing it, but I seriously
doubt a member of the Flyer Faithful would even consider one Jim's kits.
Personally, in my opinion, SMMW kits are resin kits for people who don't like
resin kits. They're not all that difficult to put together, they just take a
little time and care.
So, as long as Jim is successful with SMMW products as he markets them, who are
we to argue?
