I tried signing up but failed to input the corrrect visualization code
about 10 times. So I give up for now.

The visualizations are a little more difficult to decipher than should be
necessary.

I note that the long-dormant S Scale SIG from NMRA has been revived.

Hello Pieter….
Just a note for clarification. The NEW NMRA S Sig is not related in any
way to the OLD long-dormant Bendever-led SIG which is still dormant and
perhaps dead by now. The old Sig has not been revived, but there is a new S
kid on the block.
Interestingly, the new S Sig’s URL was discovered by a few Google
searchers before it was ready for public launching. So there are still some
pages
under construction and some imperfections here and there. But there are
lots of photos, an S video show, a statement of Mission, a conversational
Forum, a mentor program and other stuff. All of which is rather interesting
to put it mildly. The primary focus of this new S Sig is to recruit scale
modelers from the NMRA (and other places) and to provide a “home” for
existing S scale guys (and gals, if any).
I suspect most serious S scale guys will enjoy seeing what the new S Sig
has to offer and participating in it. Since it was prematurely found, not
all the ducks are quite in a row (yet), but progress is being made. The S
Sig is free and there is no need to be a member of any group to join up.
Folks ar e slowly starting to drift in and join us, but our launch and
recruitment efforts are still in the embryonic stage.
See you there.
