Hi Bob -- Amity Star had pre-painted kits of the car. I have one that I still intend to build, but using plastic shapes for the metal trusses. The paintwork is a bit crude – the kit looks like something from the 1950s, though I know it is from the 1980s. We have come a long way in our quest for realistic models....
Bill Winans -------------------------- I learned that Wabash shipped Studebakers in outside braced wood boxcars, and there is a forty-foot specimen on display in nearby Montrose, so a model of that is a virtual "must have" for the house/team track at Mooar Yard. I would like to build one from a wood kit (are those still available anywhere - I wonder if I have one stashed away somewhere?), if possible. Bob Nicholson __________________________________________
