Earl:
Will Holt is heading up an NASG display at the NTS in Grand Rapids. NASG has
sponsored booths at the NTS for many years; I believe starting in Denver in
1991. I cannot tell you if it has been done every year since. Since 1990
there have also been six joint NASG - NMRA conventions; Sacramento being the
most recent. I recall at the 1996 Long Beach NMRA - NTS, NASG had 600 sq ft of
booth space and there were three S scale layouts operating during the show. I
believe Lee Johnson was the "coordinator" for that one. You can contact Will
or Greg Klein (NASG Promotions Chairman) to find out more.

The NASG's NTS booths have been a chance to display S scale manufacturer's
products without the manufacturer having to attend or spend money for their own
booth. Several of us (Don Thompson, Bill Wade and yours truly) have organized
these displays in the past. Will has been doing it for several years. I ran a
quick query and NASG has supported the NTS display efforts to the tune of
$13,000+ over the last 6 years.
