Thanks, Tom:

That maroon was a shot in the dark, and was a rattle can of the cheapest spray
paint on the hardware store shelf because it seemed to be as "eyeball close" as
I could get. I still worried that I might have to mount that "It's My Railroad"
horse, but it didn't turn out that bad. You're right about what the "proper"
shade may be, since I have seen consists of CGW F-units in at least three
shades of maroon

I have never seen a prototype of one of these cars physically or in a color
photograph, but they fit into the SHABBONA operating theme so well that I had
to have one (no, make that two). The compliment from you is gratifying, because
I think I got more info from you than any place else.

The font on the reporting marks is a favorite of mine for SHABBONA rolling
stock, Engraver's MT. It's very similar to RR Roman, which I probably should
have specified but didn't think of it in time.

Anyway, this car and its companion #382 are c. 1960 cars, and thus have not
been built yet on c. 1957 SHABBONA RR, thus any reports of sightings can only
be attributed to a mirage :<) Not to worry, though, I have a Santa Fe 40-foot
SFRB plug door boxcar with a c.1961 paint scheme, too.
