Brad, The choo choo comes from the smoke unit either in the engine or in the tender (SIT). If either one is missing then no choo choo. If either one is there then here is the proble cause. For the unit in the engine: the bore in the smoke unit is worn out thus allowing so much air to by pass the piston that there is very little sound or none at all. For the S.I.T. unit the fabric in the unit is missing or so worn that air is not passing through the sound aperture in front of it so very little or no choo choo. If it has a piston type unit then same as the first cause. Also if the piston rod is not installed or hooked up then no sound. In the S.I.T. the motor could be turned off or the motor could not be operating We trust this helps solve your problem. Dave LBR Enterprises, llc 502-292-1872
