   I don't recall the percentage numbers but let's say they are something like 
30% N, 50% HO, 2 % S, 10% O, and 8 % the others.
 Now since S is between HO and O on the size spectrum and since things usually 
distribute towards the median the percentages if all the scales had the same 
supply and demand situation should look more like 25% N, 40% HO,20% S, and 8% O 
shouldn't they? If the median shifts smaller or larger S is still in the fat 
part of the curve so should never be less popular than O scale.
   I've always maintained that S has a problem of supply and demand and not a 
problem of size so just correcting the distribution curve would be a huge 
improvement in the economy of scale in S's favor...DaveBranum
