Hello All;
Well, some good posts have trickled in on actual S Scale modeling, a reminder
of what the list SHOULD be but often ends up burying in all the semi-topical
chatter. Thank you to all those who have posted (or tried to).
At the same time we still have people bailing, and we have been copied on some
very intemperate off-list exchanges showing us that not everyone has calmed
down and regained the necessary perspective. Maybe it's all the politics in the
rest of the U.S., but from the recent exchanges on and off list you would think
this was religion and we were about to start the heresy trails (to followed by
the auto-de-fe).
We have decided that list needs a little vacation. Everyone, guilty and
innocent, will remain on moderation for the rest of week; and we are NOT
approving further messages during that time. Some will certainly slip through
as we sort out the posting status for all members. Maybe a week without the S
List will give folks the perspective that we are all supposed to be enjoying
this, not looking for reasons to take offense and try for the last word on some
subject.
New and improved List Rules will be posted at the end of the week. See you all
then.
