Hi Folks,

I have created a second poll for the doodlebug project. I have created 16
different combinations of the items listed in the first poll. The basic choices
are: EMC/EMD or Brill; RPO-baggage-passenger or baggage-passenger; one piece
body or kit form; and 60 or 70 feet long. These items were selected from the
first poll based upon receiving 10 or more votes. I have lumped the ready to
run answers with the one piece body kits since they should be the same from a
production stand point up until assembly and painting. For about the same
reason I have lumped the two kit configuration items (where the roof is
separate from the sides and ends) into one "item". This time, vote only for
your favorite. I have used the lengths in the poll in a generic sense. The 70
foot cars may actually end up using a prototype that is 75 feet or so long and
a 60 foot prototype may actually turn out to be up to 65 feet long.

The purpose here is to see if there is enough consensus to build a doodlebug
without having to be too specific as to which prototype it is. Naturally, we
will have to pick a prototype, but that will come after we have enough votes to
move into production. I envision one more poll to select a preferred prototype
to present to Gerry. I anticipate that some of you may change your answer to
this poll depending upon the prototype that is eventually selected.

While it makes sense to build a new configuration doodlebug other than the
brass one that was produced a little while ago, if enough folks want one of
that configuration, then I see no reason not to produce one.

David
