    Michael,  As with any "scale" model, a certain amount of care is required, 
but the Archer rivets are resin dots, not hollow, but unless one were to "see 
how durable they are by scraping their fingernails over them", they should hold 
up under normal, careful handling. Kind of reminds me of an old cartoon in MR 
back in the olden days, where a fastidious modeler shows his latest creation to 
a non-scale type train enthusiast who proceeds to scrape his thumbnail into the 
paint and states "you put your paint on rather thin don't you?" I firmly 
believe that your trains like your automobile, deserve care and respect if you 
want to keep them nice looking for a long time.
