list that I use. In fact you are on that list. If i see a problem I can go 
straight to you and not the whole list. Now back to my  MKT heavyweiht

It depends on your mail client.

That said, I see the purpose of the group as exchanging information among the 
members, not facilitating private conversations. If you want to reply directly, 
copy the sender's address from the message header of their mssage and paste 
into the "to" field. I see no reason to make it harder for people to post on 
list so it's easier to send lame jokes off list.

This list used to default to sender. Every couple of months we had long threads 
on changing, and STILL had off-topic posts. I see no advantage to changing back.
