That said, I see the purpose of the group as exchanging information among the members, not facilitating private conversations. If you want to reply directly, copy the sender's address from the message header of their mssage and paste into the "to" field. I see no reason to make it harder for people to post on list so it's easier to send lame jokes off list. This list used to default to sender.
