For many of us, structures are way easier to scratchbuild than the cars someone 
like Jim King offers.

And for those of us who need to move frequently, cars and locomotives usually 
can go back in the box after assembly, but most built structures are not easily 
storedor moved safely.

I think structures in general are more difficult to sell than “stuff with 
wheels”, regardless of scale.  There are only so many buildings a layout or 
diorama can hold but we “always” seem to have room for just one more piece of
