great job, Peter!  I will build several just like that, also some bridges.
Rix products has a HO 150' bridge kit that I think can be adapted to S.
You know the old phrase..."improvise, adapt, overcome!".

Subject: {S-Scale List} Article on Building a Two-lane Road

Hi All,

I've spent a few minutes here and there over the last week to
build a short two-lane road on my layout. I documented the process
in an article on my web site:

http://pmrr.org/Articles/Scenery/Streets.htm

I'm going to build another, longer road on the other side of the
      layout in the near future.

I have several other small projects going on right now, too. Today
I started building a removable bridge that connects my main layout
to a 2'x4' module in the room's closet. I'll probably be spending
some free time on that this upcoming week. Once that's installed,
I'll be able to use a run-around I have in that part of my layout.

After that I'm going to scratchbuild a model of the passenger
station in Canonsburg, PA. I just received the materials I
ordered, so I think I'm all set.

Enjoy,
 - Peter.
