The heap shield that I produce in HO is applicable to 2- and 3-bay PS-3 hoppers built for the L&N, CRR and Tennessee Central. These were welded-on additions to otherwise flat-topped PS hoppers. N&W and C&O ends were part of the entire end sheet stamping and are not the same as what I produce. 180 TC 2-bay PS-3s were transferred to the Southern upon its 1968 abandonment and dissolution. Only 1 pic of a SR repaint has surfaced to my knowledge.
