    Jim,  I agree on the N&W shields and perhaps some of the early C&O cars, 
some even with a drednaught pattern (now that would make a neat hopper end to 
cast!), however, on the C&O cars I have seen the arched heap shields were an 
add on, on top of the bulb angle with three vertical evenly spaced ribs, will 
see if I can find the car series numbers.
