Bill,

Last night I finally put all the loose end together for my second GP-30. So I mated it with the B unit for the company photo. I spent some time on Saturday doing some basic weathering. After that it was window glass and the crew. The photo is located in my PhotoTraxx photo folder.

I then rounded up all the screws and put her together. So I just uploaded a photo of both units on the road.

Right after that I decided to put some miles on them. Unfortunately, after a few minutes of doing rather well both engines stopped with something slipping inside. So now these things look pruddy and noplace to go!

I'll have to crack them open making me an unhappy camper! At the moment two things could be wrong. First the rubber tubing from motor to the gearbox might be slipping, or the NWSL replacement gears might be slipping on their shafts. Most of the other gears are metal-- they seem to hold to the shafts better while the plastic versions tend to either slip or split open. At this time, I think all the drive shafts are sound and doing their job--but there's always something!
