For any who were wondering, I was high bidder on the ebay listing. The lot
just arrived and I was relieved to discover (as I hadhoped) that everything was
there, even an extra sideframe. Included was a Tyco drive which the previous
owner had started toadapt (which I needed to sort out and it is now running as
well as those ever did--actually assembling the rest of the kit will needto
wait until I get more projects out of the way). He even had a later Tyco drive
which was pure junk--part and parcel of thegradual degradation of HO
ready-to-run back then).
I paid more than I would have liked but less than I would have been prepared to
(if other bidders were wondering), as I'd wantedone as far back as when they
were produced. If I'd had more disposable income back then I might have gotten
into S scale sooner. With the Penn Heritage (former Steam Depot) one, I lack
only a River Raisin (being a 44-tonner addict: something like 15-16 of themof
various ancestry in O scale and even a G scale one--which leaves much to be
desired). Unless I find one of the RRM ones fora bit under what seems to be
the market price, however, I may not get to scratch that itch. Almost forgot:
I succumbed to one ofJim King's kits, too...
