Earl.....Dial up the USPS website and read the information there.  Weigh your 
envelope, put on the stamps and stick it into your mailbox to be picked up.  No 
need to leave home.  The gas to get to the post office will cost more than the 
postage.  Ed L.

PS: Rule of Thumb:  Six pieces of normal sized paper equates to one stamp in 
the USA.   Whatever weight one stamp covers is about what six sheets of paper 
will weigh.  Then comes the Northern Neighbor Adjustment Factor, known as NNAF 
in the trade.  You can do it!
