Hazarding a guess, I would say that if past records are any indication of
future performance, MTH will jump on the scale bandwagon as well as hirail.
They have done this with O.

Let us not forget that Mike himself went up against the Legal Dept. of Union
Pacific Railroad to fight the "you have to pay for using our herald on your
toy trains" demands of UP.  Mike paid for legal expenses and carried the
battle to the front door of UP with a threatened countersuit.  UP eventually
saw things Mike's way and everyone in our hobby benefitted from the end
result.  Mike appears to be a good guy and I would grant him any benefit of
the doubt that he is very helpful to his personal friends.

My concern, if any, is whether MTH wants to continue with scale products or
is only interested in the AF stuff.  That's the big question in my mind.
Time will tell.
