Charlie gave a great boost to scale S. A dynamic and fun person. Knew him well.
Omnicon was taken over by a #^&$(() so and so.

Create a "Hall of Fame" or something similar to keep these creative names out
there.
We could even add a party who spent all his wifes money on the best magazine
SCALE S EVER HAD.

A review of the S periodicals from the time would probably yield a more
definitive answer, but I think the rational was Mr. Sandersfeld's rapid rise in
S, followed quickly by an untimely passing.

His company, Omicon, released a relatively large amount of product (by
S standards) in a short time. The assumption was that he would have continued
that path if not for a sudden death at a relatively young age.

I know you were active in S at that time, Ed. Have you really forgotten?

Perhaps someone can explain why the name was changed from
MANUFACTURER OF THE YEAR? What was the rationale?

Charlie and his firm were in good company with the other winners of
this award. Did Charlie stand taller by a huge margin than the other winners?
Just curious…..
