While I'm finishing up the latest re-work on my Missouri C&F trucks, I got to
thinking about the Ace arch-bar trucks, of which I have several, and I know
lots of you all have too.
There are a couple of bushings(?) on the inside of the frame as if for mounting
brakes. Did these trucks ever come with brakes? If so, did they mount ok, or
were there problems? Obviously these must be plastic parts so as not to short
out the truck....
I might be able to make a suitable part for these with 3D printing (SketchUp
and Shapeways). Is there any interest in such a part?
Iron Rail Models are currently marketing these trucks, and they apparently are
identical to the old Ace ones......
