Roller Bearing and Bettendorf - sprung.

 

The sprung trucks were in the same mold as were the equalized trucks. For
the longest time Russ had a TON of roller bearing trucks because the demand
was for the Bettendorf sprung. Through a combination of making cars that
used RB trucks and a little "who cares" Russ used up the overstock.

 

Obviously the bolster is the same for the equalized and for the spring
trucks but they are not interchangeable to each other.

 

The was a brass grommet/ferrule that Russ put in the bolster hole to tighten
it up for a 2-56 screw. There may have been a similar brass ferrule used as
an axle bearing but that was changed to a Delrin bushing.
