Sunday evening, to many other projects to get at so nothing done on the
railroad this weekend. I attended a meeting for the NMRA Regional meet next
spring which will be held here in the Twin Cities. It should be a good time.
Tonight, I am being entertained by a Loram Rail-grinding train working on the
CP mainline behind the house, it sure is a noisey bugger.
Last Thursday, Tom Lennon came over to see what I had been doing on my hidden
yard tracks. Since I had removed all of the scenery in the ara, it was easier
to see and he suggested a change in how I had the tracks allocated to storage
and the run through track. What he suggested was my original plan but I had
not gone through with it because of scenery interference. I guess that is
another hidden benefit of the work with the sawsall.
Monday, Tom is going to stop over in the afternoon, he has tired of my
temporary bridge over the Cannon Creek and the Rumansoda River and is going to
work on that while I build turnouts for my hidden storage yard so I can put
scenery over it. Last Thursday we stopped over to see Steve's work on his
Chicago transfer yard. I will put a photo in his file, don't tell Steve I did
it as the photo shows the area still not complete. I think this photo looks
pretty good and although not complete to his standards possibily more complete
than I would ever get a yard area.
When I get my hidden yard done, we are going to add some storage tracks off the
transfer yard for transfer trains to wait off stage until they enter the
operation.
Hey, I noticed comments that we have another new S modeler, if you live in the
Twin Cities, the Pines and Prairies S Scale Workshop welcomes new members. If
you don't own a sawsall, don't worry it is not really a condition of membership.
