Roy,

When I read your original post, I knew exactly what you meant. Over the last
couple years, I have submitted about all of the photos of models and completed
scenes that I can produce. No one wants to see the same stuff over again, but
just in a different place! I’ve had to put off some requests for material,
which I regret. I need to either improve on my creative writing skills, or
build more models and scenery, before I can provide any more to all of the
various venues for S that we have now.

I’m sure many on this list have beautiful models or scenes nearing completion
that, with a little more work, could provide good material for photos, articles
or both that we all would enjoy, and that could generate more enthusiasm for S.

Subject: {S-Scale List} Re: 1:64 Modeling Guide Update and a Call for Material

Sometimes my posts are too short and are taken as sound bites (my fault). I
didn't mean competition in the marketing sense, but that we only have a handful
of authors to come up with articles. The SIG site is blessed with several
articles, but Bob's post was asking for articles. I was just doing the math.
Promoting S is dear to my heart and waging war on several fronts is a good
thing. I do my best to keep up a presence on the MRH site, but some day they'll
be tired of seeing the same old S scaler time after time. I've written several
pieces for my blog there and lots of folks of all gauge persuasions have read
them. I wish everyone well in their efforts to promote S and if we all do our
parts, S just might make it after all. I hope Bob gets all the articles and
photos that he needs and that he meets success with the magazine for all our
sakes. I also wish you luck with your SIG.
