David Engle forwarded an exchange he had with the proprietor of Rocket Express,
an HO resin manufacturer, about a RI
caboose built from a RI B-2 box car. FWIW, the most direct way to this
prototype would be to wait a bit more for the
upcoming SSA 40' D&RGW single sheathed box car. Double check the list of roads
and car series that I posted a couple
days ago, and you will see that the RI box cars used to build the cabooses are
on the list. Put in end platforms and add a
cupola (the AM wood cupola might be suitable.) S scale modeling.
