Bill,

I have the photos you sent me of the truck you saw on Long Island. There were
many variations of these trucks and the LI one seems to be longer and deeper
than most. I'm thinking of making a styrene master, using brass rivets that I
have on hand, then casting sides in resin with brass or bronze bearings. I'm
still not sure about the bolster design, and am open to any suggestions you
might have. Shapeways is another option for the master, although my experience
with their parts is that they are very fragile.

Subject: {S-Scale List} Fox trucks - things are possible

Wes,

You are not the only person to mention Fox trucks through the list or to me
directly. While not a need of mine, neither was the Archbar trucks I made. I
don’t know anything about the Fox truck other than a few photos I took - 7
years ago tomorrow - at a Long Island train museum. Pick the “best one”, get a
group of “Sugar Daddies” together to cover the upfront costs and lets convene
on the idea maybe in September. Things could happen. **No need to duplicate
individual efforts** here.

Thank You,
Bill Lane
