Ben:

My limited experience with both the Tsunami and Titan decoders is that the
Tsunami decoders have superior prime mover sounds and very weak horn sounds,
while the QSI decoders have much better horn sounds, but poorer quality prime
mover sounds.

QSI is promising vastly-upgraded stereo sound files for the Titan, but my
understanding is that if you purchase a Titan right now, you will probably
still get the old sound files.

The QSI decoders are more flexible, and therefore programming them can be quite
complex, and I believe that to take advantage of future upgrades in their sound
files, you must purchase their programmer, which I think costs about $100.

The QSI decoders have a somewhat higher current rating, which is good for S
scale, but I have not had any overheating problems with the Tsunami decoders
that I have.

In summary, I would say that there is no perfect sound decoder out there right
now. They are all a compromise. Hope this helps.
