After hearing that so-called `Jersey Barriers' existed in `S', I was searching 
to see who made them.

In addition to finding the answer to this question, I also found a link to the 
following diorama, which depicts a demolition derby in `S'-scale.

This seems like a great way to employ any S-scale cars we may have picked up 
over the years but pre-date the era of our layout/module.
