I just noticed that in the August Railroad Model Craftsman, Editor Bill
Schaumburg ran two photos of Peter Roos' S scale cars displayed at an RPM get
together. They are of a KCS rebuilt ESRA box and the re-roofed S Helper FGEX
refer (discussed on list). Both are in the Editors Notebook section at the
back of the book.
Kudos to Peter! Nice modeling work.
I still think Schaumburg is a closet S scaler. He has many times over the past
15 years given S scale unexpected exposure with RPM and NMRA Convention photo
coverage, not to mention the large number of feature "S" articles that have
appeared under his editorship. Thanks to Bill for letting those "other"
scalers see what is being done in S.
