Bill, Thanks. I don't have any flat cars (nor a layout) and was planning to scratchbuild a 40' flat similar to the Penn Central car but it might be some time before I get around to it. I'd really like to start on the two SMMW 44 tonners still in boxes. If you can put this wheel rack to use, I'd be happy to sell it (plus the SMMW wheelsets) for a fair price...or it may end up on eBay in the near future. (Attached photo shows how it's assembled.) I like the look of SMMW wheels. I mounted them on 1/8" styrene rod then turned down the ends to 7/64". (Jim King @ SMMW would offer them as a separate item if enough folks express interest.)
