I have an Overland Models custom painted F3 A & B for sale - specifically the A
unit is #9000, and the B unit is # 9001.
I painted these models about 16 or 17 years ago. They were painted with
Accupaint primer, and Accu-paint CNR green and yellow paint - the decals are
from a variety of oversized HO scale sets etc.
The A unit does have windshields in place, and an MV lens in the headlite
opening, but at this time, there are no decoders or any lighting in either unit.
The drive units are 100% original except for the drive shafts - they have been
changed to more rugged replacements - I can't remember what I put in a few
years ago, but likely N.W.S.L
I have never really had much of a layout ( working on that now ) so most of the
running that these units have seen are on friends layout, and up and down a 15'
test track. With both units powered, they will easily pull 60+ cars up and down
models grades.
Many years ago, this pair scored very well at the NASG Syracuse convention, an
Don Heimburger featured these as well as a Flexicoil truck equipped GP9 that I
had built in his magazine.
I can send photos to interested parties, I haven't figured out attaching photos
to these post ( yet ) !
I would like $850 for the pair U$ or Cdn. and that price includes insured
postage to anywhere in Canada or the lower 48 states.
For an extra $100.00, I will install DCC decoders in each unit, and a working
headlite and class lites in the A unit.
As a as partial payment W.A. Drake GS gondola(s)...or NASG tankcar(s) are of
interest.
